Project Overview

In 2024, AAH Contracting completed the Accelerated Asbestos Removal and Modernisation Project at Maribyrnong Secondary College during the Easter school holidays

AAH was responsible for removing and replacing asbestos-containing blockwork, eave sheets, and infill panels across a total area of over 3,300 square metres. The work involved installing Colorbond Lysaght Custom Orb, fibre cement sheeting, sisalation, insulation, and paint, all in accordance with the architect’s design. AAH also managed the necessary isolations and disconnections of plumbing and electrical services to enable these works.

Initially scheduled for the Christmas break, the project was rescheduled to the Easter holidays due to planning delays. Despite this, AAH completed the project on time, thanks to the expertise of our in-house team. By refining design elements with the architects, we reduced costs and streamlined the timeline.

The client and school principal were exceptionally satisfied with the timely delivery and quality of workmanship, leading to a direct request for AAH Contracting to handle future projects at the school.
